Experience
I attended Knox College and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. My time at these colleges provided me with extensive knowledge on various topics, particularly in the English department. I spent time at Knox as a teaching assistant for the Beginning Fiction Writing class. I have gone on to teach many classes, discussions and workshops at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.My goal as an educator is to mold students into confident and successful learners. I understand how stale certain subjects can seem, and I do my best to make the material more interesting. I especially enjoy using humor as a way to do so! I also use television and video games as ways to make writing relatable for students. Reading, writing, and storytelling are all personal interests that I hope to pass on to my students. I provide tutoring in subjects like Literature, College Essays, Reading, Introduction to Fiction, Creative Writing, Fiction Writing, and Expository Writing. Many of these courses can seem difficult to manage, but I strive to make the process easier for my students. I myself struggled with Expository Writing, but once I found my voice, I had a much easier time.In my spare time, I enjoy reading, writing, professional wrestling, and writing letters.
